Farrah Chaichi

Farrah Chaichi

Beaverton, State Representative HD 35

  • I’m running because the current political system prioritizes corporate profits over our well-being, and tax breaks for the wealthy over basic human rights and our environment. We need bold leaders with the vision to fight for the working class, who are not afraid to stand up to big business and the 1%. We need leaders who will bring together our diverse community into a movement towards justice, equality, compassion and solidarity. With your support, I hope to be one of those leaders.

tim morris

Eugene Water and Electric Board Ward 1 & 8

  • As the Executive Director of a local nonprofit, a passionate community organizer, and a trusted leader in Oregon, I will serve as an EWEB Commissioner who represents all voices in Eugene, including those whose voices which often go unheard. Throughout my career, both in the nonprofit sector and my work in our community, I have always been passionate about making Eugene a better place. My decade of work in Eugene has taken me from organizing at the local neighborhood level all the way to the Oregon Legislature, advocating for progressive values and fighting for communities that are often unheard. Now, I am ready to continue making a difference where it matters most: as a public servant.

Shannon Singleton

Shannon Singleton

Multnomah County Commison - District 2

  • As a social worker who has spent her adult life finding ways to help people, I know we can do better. I'm running for the Multnomah County Commission to help jumpstart an overdue transformation so we can fulfill our mission of providing critical safety net services for our most vulnerable residents. We deserve systems and programs that have clear goals set and met!

Doyle Canning

Doyle Canning

Eugene, State Representative HD 8

  • South Eugene mom, small business owner, attorney, and Legislative Director in the Oregon House of Representatives, Doyle Canning comes from our community, and she gets things done in Salem. Doyle is a proud 4J public school parent and community schools supporter, graduate of the University of Oregon, and familiar face in our neighborhoods.

James Manning

James Manning

Oregon Secretary of State

  • Sen. James Manning is a proven progressive. He is running for Secretary of State to restore the public’s trust in the integrity of the office and make progress on the key challenges we face. As Secretary of State he will protect our democracy, expand opportunity, preserve our precious natural resources, and ensure transparency and accountability of state resources.

Willy Chotzen

SE Portland, State Representative HD 46

  • Willy Chotzen is a public defender and a father to two young children. Born in Ashland, Oregon, he has spent his adult life fighting for equity and working to uplift people who have been historically marginalized. As a public defender, Willy sees the systems that are broken and hears from the people who are hurting. We can address these challenges by building a movement grounded in community, inclusion, and creative problem solving. Let’s work together to create a brighter future for Oregon.

Gabe Shepherd

Gabe Shepherd

Benton County Commissioner, Position 2

  • I enjoy community-building. I have a passion for rural issues. There's a lot that can be done at a county level that can't be done in the city: to address the housing crisis, to take active steps on climate change and mitigation, to build the county's relationship with the cities and make it more accessible to the public. I'm running for county commissioner because the county has more effect on people's daily lives than they may know, and I want to work on the issues that are affecting people."

KC LeDell

Washington County, Circuit Court Judge, District 20, Position 6

  • KC LeDell is an experienced attorney who has spent his career writing and enforcing laws, advocating for greater access to mental health treatment, and representing the people in our community most in need of a helping hand. A proven public safety expert and mental health champion who will give the people of Washington County the effective, respectful, and professional public service they deserve.

VOTE NO ON THESE BALLOT MEASURES ❌🗳️

❌ Vote no on tigard’s public safety renewal levy

  • Next Up Action Fund is opposed to bolstering police forces that have a history of disproportionate arrests, violence against, and murder of Black people. We encourage Tigard residents to vote NO on this levy.

❌ Vote no on EUGENE’S STAR VOTING (Measure 20 - 349)

  • Next Up Action Fund encourages voters to vote no on Eugene’s ballot measure 20-349, aka STAR Voting.

STAR Voting disenfranchises voters. With STAR Voting, rating more than one candidate with the same number of stars gets your ballot thrown out. Meanwhile, giving any candidate besides your favorite stars likely hurts your favorite candidate’s chances of winning. It’s not only confusing – it disenfranchises voters.

STAR Voting does not improve our election system. STAR Voting gives politicians the incentive to tell their supporters to not give stars to any other candidate. So we end up with the same or worse results than what we do now -- but with extra steps and less transparency on how votes are even counted.

STAR Voting has not been used in any public election anywhere across the world. It’s only been used by two state political parties to select delegates or nominees for office. And after trying it once, it was never used again. There is not enough data to gauge how STAR Voting would impact equitable outcomes in our elections, or how voters, especially underrepresented voters would be impacted.

Next Up Action Fund is a 501(c)4 nonprofit engaging the next generation of young leaders to build political power to fight for a more just and equitable Oregon.
