One Wild Crazy Month Ahead! Can We Count on your Help?

The voter registration deadline in Oregon is rapidly approaching. Did you know there are SEVEN days left to register. That’s only one week, folks! If you haven’t had the chance, go to and update your registration asap! Please share the link with your friends on social media, as well, to make sure we get as many folks registered as possible!

Also, did you know this year the Bus Project printed 50,000 voter guides that we are going to distribute to young voters all across the state? We provided our recommendations on almost all of the statewide ballot measures, which can be viewed here:

We’ve also published specific voter guides for people living in Corvallis and Ashland; check out those voter guidesThat something spooky is OCTOBER 14th: the voter registration deadline in Oregon! So go to and update your registration asap! Please share the link with your friends on social media, as well, to make sure we get as many folks registered as possible!

With election day upon us, we’ve got 50,000 voter guides that we’ll be using to help young voters get the info they need to show up to vote! After months of debate, we’ve got recommendations on the statewide ballot measures and local Portland measures here:

And since we’ve expanded our organizing team to Ashland and Corvallis, we’ve got thousands more voter guides to help turn out the vote in these hubs as well. Check ’em out!

Maybe you’ve already got your mind made up on the slate of issues heading to a ballot near you this month, and are already on Josh Lyman’s level, BUT don’t let your friends be at a loss of words, share the links and spread the word!

Coming up…

Turn out for WHAT?!

We’re so excited about our Voter Guides that we’re holding a party to kick off setting them loose!

Join the shenanigans at the June Key Delta Community Center on Tuesday, Oct. 21st @5:30pm. We’ll have food, reps from the assorted campaigns, and games to help everyone understand what’s what on the ballot. Check out the facebook page here!

The Bus Project is proud to support Measure 88, which will provide a legal pathway for all Oregon residents to obtain a drivers’ card. We’re really stoked to be working closely with Causa Oregon, Center for Intercultural Organizing, Basic Rights Oregon, Oregon Walks and many other organizations to support this pragmatic, progressive policy for immigrants’ rights. Join us Saturday, October 18 in Southeast Portland as we knock on doors and tell our neighbors and our community why it’s vitally important to vote Yes on 88. Details here on our Facebook Page.

Boom. Now you have Halloween Plans.

Join the Bus Project on October 31st for the biggest, spookiest, most-democracy filled Halloween party in town! Trick OR Vote returns as Oregon’s largest costumed canvass. This big, spooky party will be even better if we can count on you to be there; Our hosts are Velo Cult Bike Shop in the Hollywood neighborhood of Northeast Portland. Check our facebook event for more details, and be sure to fill out our Volunteer Sign Up Sheet HERE so we can plan for lots of tasty snacks, drinks and doors to knock on for you. You may be too old to Trick or Treat, but you’re never too old to Trick OR Vote!

Lastly, National Voter Registration Day was a smashing success and we just wanted to thank our 40+ volunteers that helped bring in over 400 voter registrations across the state on our favorite holiday!

Go Team Win!
